Monica and her husband Marvin Zehnder live in the Michigan Upper Peninsula town of Marquette. They are both artists and world travelers. They live a few blocks from powerful Lake Superior and when the storms come, their large classic Victorian house can shudder and groan. But inside the Zehnder Abys (along with an old Russian Blue and a Chartreaux) live cozy lives.

Monica and Sue VandeSande (DeVande Abys) have worked together for many years. Their cooperative efforts have really paid off for them. Their philosophy on health and temperament priorities are appreciated by all the kitten buyers (pet or show).

Monica specializes in the "dilute" colors of Abyssinian - the blues and the fawns.
