In a short time Instincts Cattery has produced some extraordinary cats and has won three national awards.

Chris' first national award was with GCNW Instincts Klein Bonair. Klein was the 2nd Best Shorthair at the 1998 CFA International Show held in Atlanta, Georgia.

He went on from there to win a CFA National Award, 9th best nationally.

The 2nd National Award was for GCNW Instincts Madagascar, CFA's 8th Best Kitten in the 1999 show season. Chris intended to show "daggar" as an adult and just took him to the kitten shows to acclimate him to the show scene. But he did so well that she decided to make a quick run for the roses and he finished a very impressive 8th.

Madagascar was a one-show grand and was 2nd best of breed at the International show in 1999.

Although he didn't achieve a national award, GCRW Byblos St. Lawrence of Instincts has been a very important addition to the Instincts look. Lawrence is now neutered, but not before he sired some extraordinary cats. St. Lawrence was one of the top 25 cats in the Northeast Region.

GC Instincts Cheri Grove had a splendid season ending up as CFA's 7th best cat -- difficult for a female. At the CFA International Show in Kansas City she placed 2nd best of breed. She is a ruddy with great color, style, type, clarity, and a wonderful head and earset. Cheri also placed in the top five shorthairs coming in 4th! She was bred By Chris Giammarino and is owned by Chris and Lori Fassbinder.
